Confirming assigned parking spots

Edited

If you're at a building when it starts using Parkade, residents will be moved from a previous system that tracked parking spot assignments/deeds/rentals over to Parkade.

If you were assigned a specific spot in the previous system, you'll likely be assigned that spot in Parkade. Leading up to the switch to Parkade, you also should have received emails with details about reserved parking.

Wondering how this works? It's fairly simple. Your building sent us a list of each spot and who they’re leased to. We imported this list, and when you sign up for Parkade, you should see your parking spot listed.

This is done by matching the phone number or email address your building gave us to what you entered for your Parkade account, so be sure to use the same number or email your building has on file.

If you aren’t sure what email or number we were provided, see a message in the app that says "an account with that email already exists," or run into any other issues, email us at hello@parkade.com.

In the Parkade app, you should see your spot(s) listed, along with your vehicle information (if your building provided it to us).

  • If you’re renting a spot from your building for a fee, you need to add a payment method to your Parkade account. Once you do that, you're all set!

  • If your spot is free, you don't need to add a payment method or complete any kind of "check out" step. The spot is already assigned to you, whether you download Parkade or not.

In both cases, you should add your vehicle information to your account. Since Parkade will be used to track and enforce parking, as long as your vehicles are on your account, we'll know they belong there.

Each spot will look like this:

If you don't see a spot that should be assigned to you, or if a spot that shouldn't be assigned to you is on your account, this may be due to your building’s previous system assigning spots only to the primary leaseholder. The parking spot you’re looking for may be assigned to someone else in your unit, or you may be assigned a spot meant for someone else in your unit. In either situation, email hello@parkade.com and we'll get you sorted out!

Moving forward, you can use Parkade to:

  • Report any issues with your parking spot, such as an unauthorized vehicle parking there or something blocking the spot.

  • Update vehicles allowed in your spot by going to Account  → Vehicles.

  • Sublease your spot to other residents (at some locations). To do that, tap on the Host tab, where you can set available dates and prices. (See more on that in the Hosting section of our Help Center.)

  • See the parking map by tapping on your parking spot and then on the map.
