How to add, change, or update a payment method

Adding a payment method

To add a new payment method, tap on Account → Payment MethodsAdd a payment method. When adding a new bank account, you can verify your bank account with instant verification by using your online banking credentials, or with manual verification using microdeposits (this can take a few days).

Reservation-specific payments

You can pay for different reservations using different payment methods. Want to use your bank account for a long-term reservation, but your credit card for short-term reservations? No problem!

Here's how to change the payment method for existing long-term reservations in the app:

  1. Select the Park tab.

  2. At the top of the screen, tap on your long-term spot.

  3. Scroll down in the details screen to Payment.

  4. Tap on the payment method there to change it to your preferred payment method (or add it if you haven't already).

  5. Repeat steps 1-4 above for any other long-term spots you have and want to update the payment method for.

Whenever you make a new reservation, we will ask you to choose the payment method you would like to use.

Changing your default payment method

We will always ask you what payment method you would like to use when making a new reservation, but you can change your default payment method for new reservations in the app by tapping Account → Payment Methods.

If you select a new default payment method, that will not change what payment method is used for any existing long-term reservations. To change the payment method for an existing long-term reservation to your new default payment method, follow the steps listed above.

Updating a payment method

If your card number or expiration date is changing, you can update that by tapping Account → Payment Methods, then tapping on the payment method you want to update.
