Failed and late payments

We understand that sometimes you won’t be able to pay for a reservation on time. In situations where we can’t collect the payment for your monthly parking spot, we'll provide you with a few days of leeway as a courtesy.

We'll attempt to contact you about a failed charge, but please remember it is your responsibility to pay for your parking spot on time. Failure to pay for your parking spot may result in termination of your reservation.

Please note that Parkade is unable to extend or modify this courtesy window.

Payments by card

If you pay with a credit/debit card or Apple Pay, we must receive payment for your reservation within 7 days (168 hours) of the original date/time your monthly payment was due.

For example: If your monthly parking payment is due 12 a.m. November 1 but you are unable to make the payment that day, you will have until 12 a.m. November 8 to pay for your spot.

Late fees/penalties for card payments

There are no penalties or late fees for late parking payments made by credit/debit card or Apple Pay, provided payment is received within the courtesy window.

If your monthly parking spot is canceled due to non-payment, your vehicle will be subject to enforcement action, including penalty fees and/or towing. Please be aware that in order to make a new monthly reservation after a spot has been canceled:

  • You will need to pay for any past due amounts for your parking spot.

  • You may be subject to a reassignment fee of up to 10% of the monthly payment amount, with a minimum fee of $15.

  • You may be reassigned to a new space (based on availability) or placed on a waitlist for a spot.

Payments by bank account/ACH

If you pay with a bank account (an ACH payment), it may take up to four business days for us to receive notice that your payment failed.

If your payment fails, we will automatically contact you. You must reattempt payment with your bank account or another payment method within the next three days after this notice is provided.

If you do not resubmit payment within the app within three days of receiving a notice of failed payment by ACH from Parkade, your reservation will be automatically canceled.

If you resubmit payment using your bank account again, but the second attempt fails, your reservation will be automatically canceled at that time.

For example, if your monthly parking payment is due on Monday, November 1, we’ll create a transaction to charge your bank account on November 1. If we receive notice that the payment failed four business days later (November 5), you will have three calendar days to retry payment (by November 8).

If you retry payment with your bank account on November 8, but we receive notice that the second attempt failed, your parking reservation will automatically be canceled.

Late fees/penalties for bank account payments

If your monthly parking reservation is canceled due to failed bank account payments, your vehicle will be subject to enforcement action, including penalty fees and/or towing. Please be aware that in order to make a new monthly reservation after a spot has been canceled:

  • You will need to pay for any past due amounts for your parking spot.

  • You may be subject to a penalty fee of up to 10% of the monthly payment amount, with a minimum fee of $15

  • You may be reassigned to a new space (based on availability) or placed on a waitlist for a spot.
