Changing your parking spot
Your chosen parking spot is tied to your reservation. To change your parking spot, you need to end your existing reservation and create a new one for the spot you want instead.
What you can do, though, depends on the type of reservation you have and if it started or not.
Before canceling a reservation, it's best to first search for available spots to ensure the one you want - or any spots at all - will be available to create a new reservation for.
Reservations that haven't started
You can cancel any reservation before it starts and then create a new reservation in the other spot you want.
On the Park tab, tap on the reservation that hasn't started.
Tap Cancel reservation.
For a flexible monthly reservation, select a day and time for the reservation to end.
Back on the Park tab, tap Find Parking and follow the steps to find and reserve another spot.
Reservations that started
Short term
After a short-term reservation starts, you cannot cancel it, and you won't be able to change your parking spot as described above.
If someone else is parked in your spot or you're having other issues accessing the spot, us the app to report a problem (tap the spot, then tap Report Parking Problem). In some cases you may be able to cancel your reservation. See here for more details.
Firm end date monthly
After a firm end date monthly reservation starts, you cannot cancel it, and you won't be able to change your parking spot as described above.
To switch a firm end date reservation to a different spot, which will include a processing fee charge, contact us at hello@parkade.com.
Flexible end date monthly
You can cancel a flexible end date monthly reservation at any time and create a new reservation using the steps above. Depending on your location, you may be able to first create the new reservation before canceling your previous one.
Other Restrictions
At some locations, there may be restrictions that may affect your ability to search for spots or create reservations.
Some examples:
Monthly spots are manually assigned to residents, and you cannot reserve a monthly spot through the app.
Units are only allowed to have a maximum number of monthly spots at a time. If you're at the maximum, you won't be able to search to see what spots are available. You can first cancel an existing reservation and then search for a new one.
